I am an affiliate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and hold a Bachelors Degree in Accounting Science (BCompt).
I am passionate about helping SMEs succeed. Success in business is dependent on strategic decision making using accurate and up-to-date information. I help clients with the process of transforming data into meaningful information in the most effective and efficient manner appropriate to reach time-bound business goals. I enjoy building relationships with clients, communicating with them to ensure clarity on relevant issues and delivering solutions to meet their particular needs. I am a Certified Xero Advisor assisting clients with all aspects of the management of this accounting software from initial set-up and data entry to reporting and transmitting required information to the necessary individuals and organisations. I am persistent and determined to deliver excellence throughout this process.
My extensive accounting expertise, project management and interpersonal skills were acquired while serving articles in an accounting and auditing practice, working for a large computer hardware distributor, a well-known insurance company, a publishing company and in various roles within the charity sector.
I enjoy spending time with my wife and family as well as being involved in a local church group. In the evening you will find me at the local gym and on weekends visiting friends, cycling, going for walks and working on DIY projects.
In 1993 a friend and I cycled from Durban to Cape Town (1,400 miles) to raise funds for a local charity called Bamba Izandla (meaning “join hands”) that was a forerunner to Vukukanye (meaning “arise and shine” - see Give to Charity page).
